2 Spirit Allyship

This program partners with the Central Oregon Two Spirit Coalition to provide education and advocacy in support of Two Spirit and LGBTQ youth and community members in Warm Springs, while developing leadership skills. The coalition developed custom educational curriculum for the Warm Springs community as well as promotes equitable and inclusive policies and practices. The curriculum includes history about Two Spirit people and their roles as healers, spiritual leaders, ceremonial mediators, and keepers of tribal traditions, and the impact of colonization on gender identity and sexual orientation.
