YOUTH PROGRAMS

Youth programming is one of our newest and expanding programs. With about half the population under age 25, there is a big need to provide youth opportunities. Activities include workforce, cultural, arts, and more.

    Wyam Youth Center

    Coming June 2025! Learn more about our anticipated space for Warm Springs youth to develop workforce skills in entrepreneurship, film, business management, customer service, and more.

    Filmmaking

    Our filmmaking program has produced award-winning festival short films and provided invaluable experience with professionals in the field for Warm Springs youth.

    Tribal Song & Art Programming

    This program provides access to modern and traditional art and cultural practices for the youth and families of Warm Springs, from right of passage ceremonies to language preservation through music.

    Wana Waixtishima

    In 2021, two intrepid Warm Springs youths took up kayaking and trained to descend the Klamath River after the breach of dams. Now, they help other youths strengthen their relationship with language, culture, and become protectors of our waterways.

    Trailblazer Partnership

    Our partnership with the Portland Trailblazers enables Warm Springs youth to participate in local basketball leagues, offset the costs of travel for games, meet professional athletes and learn about career opportunities, and so much more.

    2 Spirit Allyship

    This program partners with the Central Oregon Two Spirit Coalition to provide education and advocacy in support of Two Spirit and LGBTQ youth and community members in Warm Springs, while developing leadership skills.
