PERSONAL FINANCE PROGRAMS

Warm Springs faces higher levels of poverty than most other communities in Oregon. WSCAT offers resources, including counseling and group education, to support people in building assets and creating financial stability.

  • IDA Program

IDAs, or individual development accounts, are matched savings accounts that enable people to accumulate savings and purchase assets. For each dollar participants deposit in their IDA, they receive $5 in matching funds to be used towards the purchase of an asset.

  • HUD Housing

Owning a home is a big step up in life. It provides a sense of safety, security, independence and accomplishment. We are happy to help our community members achieve that goal  HUD certified counseling and education.

  • Tax Aide

Each year, in late winter and early spring, we offer an AARP Tax-Aide program that helps tribal families file their taxes correctly. This program has helped hundreds of families maximize their tax refunds.

  • Personal Finance

Our financial programming helps participants develop good savings habits, manage money wisely, open a bank account, and gain a better understanding of credit, setting themselves up for financial success.
