Sierra Patt was talking to the manager of Twisted Teepee one day, when she was told about the IDA program. She needed transportation to take her son to elementary school and applied for the program to purchase a vehicle.

After opening her account, she met one-on-one with a financial counselor, where she talked about her financial situation and got assistance in researching car options. She learned about establishing credit and the different types of loans that were available to her. She felt well informed in the car buying process and was able to find a car that would meet her needs.

She purchased a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with a new engine and only 12,000 miles on it. From her research, she learned that this car provided reliable transportation and would meet her needs of getting to work and taking her son to school.
